Stuffed Jalapeños Wrapped in Bacon

These Stuffed Jalapeños are a family favorite at my house. I first saw them in Ree Drummond's cookbook, The Pioneer Woman Cooks. These peppers are easy to make and so tasty. If you are looking for an easy crowd pleasing appetizer I highly recommend you give these a try.

All you need is a few basic ingredients.

Ingredients:
10-12 jalapeños
1 package of bacon
whipped cream cheese
chopped green onions
Cheddar Cheese
barbeque sauce

First, you slice each jalapeño in half.

Next, scoop the seeds out with a spoon. If you have food handling gloves it would be a good idea to put some on because your hands could burn for awhile after if you don't. Trust me, I know.

Set the peppers aside and in a bowl mix together 1 tub of cream cheese, about 1/4 cup of chopped green onions and about 1/2 cup cheddar cheese.

Fill each jalapeño half with the cream cheese mixture.

One bacon slice is too long for one jalapeño, so it is best to cut the bacon slices in half. Then wrap each jalapeño with a slice of bacon.

Once your peppers are snuggly wrapped in bacon line them up on a baking sheet and put in a
300° oven for 40 minutes. Then take out and brush with barbeque sauce and then put back in the oven for 10 more minutes.

They are deliciously spicy!!
Enjoy!

My family really enjoys these yummy peppers. I would love to hear if you have tried these or anything similar to this recipe. Leave a comment or a link to your website or blog, I would love to know what's cooking in your kitchen.

Buen Provecho!
